About Taste of Thai
Family-owned and operated, serving authentic Thai cuisine since 2000.
Located at 216 E State St, Ithaca, NY 14850, Taste of Thai operates as a thai restaurant serving Ithaca in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Ithaca, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 AMβ2:30 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (607) 256-5487. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, order.toasttab.com.
With 4.0 out of 5 on Google from 560 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for thai restaurants in Ithaca. Recent reviews are the best guide.
Ithaca is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Ithaca is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Amazing and authentic taste. Mango sticky rice is exceptional and must try. Tom Kha and Pad Thai meets the expectations. Also very hospitable and friendly staff. Had good time

Very solid, non-fuzz Thai spot with kind service and reasonable prices. Many vegan options, as all curries can be made with veggies/tofu, and they offer modifying dishes to make them vegan.

All of the food we ordered was delicious. From the appetizers (both fried and non-fried vegan spring rolls) to the fried tofu dish to the noodles and chicken dish the man ordered, it was all great. Plus our server was wonderful! Very happy with our visit to Taste of Thai.

I love this restaurant so much. My time at Cornell was best because of all the amazing food Ithaca provides, and Taste of Thai is one of the top restaurants in Ithaca. My introduction to this was food catered by them at some university event, and I had to ask the organizers about the place. As a new student, I didn't know any good restaurants, and they directed me to Taste of Thai. Since then, their Rad Na noodles have been my favorite, and mango sticky rice is insanely amazing. Would recommend both 10/10!

My son and I enjoyed a nice dinner here recently 12/24/2025. Myhoa was very accommodating with both my son and our meals. Assured me everything could be altered basically too for our vegan lifestyle. Ordered vegetable tempura - wouldn't again. Greasy, deep fried. But I did love the variety of vegetables. Carrots, sweet potatoe, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplant from what I could recall. My son had the Thai fried rice - no egg, but tofu instead. I had the "cashew chicken," meal - no dead animal / flesh for me. Tofu complimented that really well. Menh was the first person we met upon arrival, somewhat reserved but no issues. Cha assisted in bringing out meals from the kitchen & checked in once. Friendly staff. The portion size for the food and the amount of money as others have mentioned here doesn't equate. Please work on this. But it doesn't hurt to ask for more either. Thank you for accommodating us Myhoa. Very outgoing and sweet loving motherly soul. We had a pleasant trip. Thanks everyone bts as well especially the chef/chefs, cleaning crew. You all matter. Accepts Apple Pay, in addition to traditional methods of payments. God Bless We'll see you again if The Lord permits.
